Shaheed Monsur Ali Medical College and Hospital is among the most prestigious colleges in Bangladesh. It is a non-governmental organization. It was established as the Ummah Medical College (1994-1995) in Mirpur, Dhaka. It is affiliated with Dhaka University. It enjoys the recognition of Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). The college has already attained an adorable standard to clinch the recognition of the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in regard to post graduate training in various subjects in the college.
The College has admitted 26 batches of students since its inception of which 22 batches of students have already completed their MBBS course and are serving the nation as efficient doctors.
