Menoufia university is one of the public regional universities in Egypt. The word “Menoufia” is “The Good Land” in Arabic. This university is founded in 1976. It is located to the north of the country and close to the Nile delta.

The main head quarter of this university is in Shebin El Koum, the capital of Menoufia Governate, 75 km away from Kairo.

         Dr. Adel Mubarak is the president of Menoufia University. Dr. Sobhi Sharaf is the vice president of the University. Dr. Md Abu Salem is the head of the department of Public Health and community Medicine.

         There are four special units called Faculty Library, IT unit, Special Unit, Quality Assurance Unit. The medical Faculty of this university aims to graduate a doctor capable of giving and serving society and the environment and contribute to scientific civilization.

Eligibility Criteria for admission in Menoufia University, Egypt:

  • The students must be at least 17 years of age and not more than 25 years to apply for MBBS course.
  • The students have to secure minimum 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) subjects along with English.
