Mr. Harunar Rashid Khan Monno, the Honourable Chairman of the Monno Group of Industries, established Monno Medical College and Hospital. It is a project of the Monno Welfare Foundation and is entirely non-profit. Professor Dr. Zahedul Karim Ahmad, a highly qualified and experienced teacher, is the college’s current principal. It is one of the leading medical colleges in the country, as well as a world-renowned institute in terms of the quality of doctors who graduate from this Medical College. Monno Medical College began operations in 2011, and the college’s fourth batch is currently enrolled.
The college has been approved by the Bangladesh government, is affiliated with the University of Dhaka, and is recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC. Monno Medical College and Hospital is a non-profit organization that is run by the Monno Welfare Foundation. To provide qualified, skilled, active, and dedicated doctors capable of working in any adverse/unfavorable conditions/situations on a national and international scale. To provide doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers with training based on their specific needs. To provide training to develop professional competence to conduct research activities. The college is located in Monno City, Gilondo, Ghior Upazila, 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) west of Manikganj, on the south side of the Dhaka–Aricha Highway. The main buildings on campus are ten-storied academic building; separate hostels for male students, female students, male interns and female interns, dormitory for doctors and professors; and Monno Medical College Hospital, the college’s five-story, 500-bed teaching hospital.

Eligibility Criteria for admission in Monno Medical College, Bangladesh
- NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a must
- The student must have qualified for an examination like HS/’A’ level or any equivalent exam to become eligible for MBBS admission.
- The minimum aggregate GPA that the student has to secure in Class 10th/ SSC/ ‘O’ level or equivalent examination is 7.
- The minimum GPA in SSC or any equivalent examination and HSC or equivalent examination is 3.5.
